Adoption Process:

- Complete and submit a dog adoption application or cat adoption application online prior to meeting the animal you are interested in.
- Once you have submitted your application, based on the information in the application, Found will contact you to schedule an appointment for you to come meet the animal you are interested in and discuss various topics pertaining to pet ownership and adoption.
- Based on successful completion of your application and scheduled meeting, you will be approved to adopt an animal based on your needs and the needs of the animal.
You must bring the following to your appointment:
- A current, valid, government-issued photo ID.
- If you rent, you must provide your landlord’s name and phone number, and if you own or rent you must provide a copy of your lease stating you are allowed to have a dog or cat in your apartment or house.
- Any other members of your family or pets who live with you (dogs and cats).
You must meet the following requirements:
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide proper care for the animal.
- Pay the dog adoption fee of $200 or cat adoption fee of $150 per kitten, $250 for 2 kittens, or $100 per cat to cover the costs of everything listed below, as well as any behavioral and medical rehabilitation. Adoption fee must be paid at the time of the adoption in full.
Each dog from Found is:
- Spayed or neutered
- Up-to-date on all required vaccinations (based on age)
- Checked and treated for parasites (fleas, worms)
- Bathed and groomed
- Microchipped
Each cat from Found is:
- Spayed or neutered
- Tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia) and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus)
- Vaccinated with at least one FVRCP vaccination and a Rabies vaccination (based on age)
- Checked and treated for parasites (fleas, worms)
- Bathed and groomed
- Microchipped
