Bea aka Buoy

Bea aka Buoy along with her littermates were bred by their previous owners to be sold as "pure" Pit Bulls. The puppies ended up looking like Labs and small in size – therefore no one wanted to buy them.  For this reason, the puppies were left in the basement for 6 months fending for themselves.  Scraps were tossed down there while the pups were covered in urine and feces.

As soon as we heard, we immediately rescued all 4 pups who have all been adopted since!

Buoy was one of 4 pups rescued who lives with an amazing family today.  She was a very shy girl when she left the basement but in short order, she learned to love people, other dogs and to react positively to her new life.  She spends her summers on a boat with her new mom and dad and loves to chase the ball in Lake Michigan.  In the fall Buoy travels to Telluride CO where she loves to hike and chase chipmunks – her favorite past time.  Buoy loves all people, little children and other dogs.  When she isn't at her other homes, she insists on a trip to the local dog park to see her canine friends. Everyone at the harbor and dog park loves this little girl for her happy demeanor and playfulness.  Buoy's family could not have asked for a better dog and we couldn't be happier for her!!
