Debby Gallivan began working with Curtis Scott in 2008. She met him after she rescued a pit bull from an abandoned apartment building in Humboldt Park which was in need of comprehensive rehabilitation. Jeff Jenkins, a native of Chicago, joined The Humane Society of the United States’ End Dogfighting Campaign to help found the Pit Bull Training Team. He believed that this program needed to address the street dogfighting problem on both ends of the leash.
