Communications & Social Media Intern

The Social Media Intern will be responsible for Found’s social media outlets (facebook, twitter, youtube, etc), assisting with new social media, writing blog posts and assisting with Found’s monthly e-newsletter.

The intern must be proficient in writing, communications and savvy with social media and have excellent computer skills. As a ‘voice’ for Found, the candidate must also posses a passion for the work Found is doing.

This unpaid position is a great opportunity for anyone who is looking for hands on social media experience.

Academic credit is offered.

The internship will be offered seasonally with flexible start and ending dates.

0 Volunteer Development Intern

Found Chicago is seeking a Volunteer Development Intern to assist with the administration and development of volunteer programs.

This position will include:
• Recruiting and organizing volunteers (reviewing applications, maintaining correspondence, providing training).
• Providing administrative support to other Found staff.
• Conducting bi-monthly volunteer orientations.
• Assisting at special events and scheduling volunteers for events.
• Supervising volunteers at events and at Found.

An ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, internet research, email, etc.).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work product.

• Flexibility to work nights and weekends.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Dog handling skills and experience with cats are preferred.
